Instructions:

1. Select the number fo decimal places you'd like to use from the drop-down list (the default is 2).

2. You can use the Tab key to to move to the next field, and shift-Tab to move to the previous field.

3. Enter value you'd like to calculate in the first box.

4. Select the tax rate you need from the dropdown list.

5. Click/tap the "Add GST" or "Subtract GST" button depending on your requirement.

6. Click/tap the button to copy the result value to your device's clipboard.

Exemptions:

The implementation of a Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Bhutan has been delayed until July of 2024, being pushed back from July 2022. The above calculator and rates are based on data previously obtained from the Bhutanese goverment website.

More information on the decision to push the implmentation date back can be obtained from the National Assembly of Bhutan (NAB).

An excerpt from the National Assembly of Bhutan (NAB) website (published on June 8th 2022): Regarding the Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill of Bhutan 2022, the Minister submitted that the amendment is submitted to defer the implementation date of the Bill from 1st July 2022 to 1st July 2024, on account of the unfavorable economic situation of the country and the operational readiness of IT system (Bhutan Integrated Taxation System).
